inflection

n. /ɪnˈflɛkʃ(ə)n/

a change in the pitch or tone of a voice.

mathematics — the point on a curve at which the curvature changes direction.

tutoring — a stimulus that changes the trajectory of a student.

eg – "every student has an inflection point."

inflection is my one-to-one tutoring practice, running since 2022. The name is the pitch: the job isn't to pile on more hours of the same — it's to find the point where things turn.

Who it's for

Students preparing for the 11+, SATs, GCSEs, A-Levels, and the International Baccalaureate. I've taken students through every one of these — the youngest hunting grammar-school places, the oldest juggling IB deadlines.

How I work

No two students learn the same way, so no two students get the same lesson. I adapt the method until it clicks, keep proper progress records, and give parents regular, honest feedback — including when something isn't working yet.
